Beckett’s Last Tape, 1990

Two dry-cleaning dummies, one male and the other female, are connected to their life-support system, a portable steam generator that causes them to “breathe.” Excerpts from Beckett’s plays can be heard within the dimly lit space. The exhibition presents works by recipients of the Massachusetts Foundation for the Arts Artist Awards, curated by Marjorie Jacobson, Fine Arts Advisor.
