Revisiting first century technology as
                            "philosophic instruments."

Most of the aeolipiles are glass versions of a principle originated by Hero of Alexandria, a kind of special effects man of the First Century AD. They boil water to make steam which creates the energy to make the vessels spin on their axes. The two works below are steam-tables which use electricity to make steam causing other elements to respond.
